Innovation Lab 2015 to bring top experts in business innovation to Tallinn
The Innovation Lab 2015 (iLab 2015) event to be held in Tallinn on Tuesday, March 3, will feature several of Europe’s most sought-after and experienced business leaders, innovators and entrepreneurship consultants, who will be sharing inspiring success stories, practical information and useful tips.
Andréas Breiler and Jonas Michanek (Sweden) are the founders of Idélaboratoriet, a company that provides entrepreneurship consultancy. Idélaboratoriet provides entrepreneurship consultancy and training to many international organisations and brands, with the company’s reach encompassing more than 30 countries.
Andreas Ehn (Sweden) is a co-creator and the former technology manager of the application Wrapp. Ehn was the first employee and technology manager of the music application Spotify, having previously worked for the Swedish online game company Stardoll. Ehn is a supervisory board member at a number of companies and a business angel often engaged as a consultant to promising online start-ups and risk funds.
Alar Kolk (Estonia) is a sought-after lecturer on innovation and President of the European Innovation Academy, having previously served as Vice-Rector of the Tallinn University of Technology and a member of the management at Enterprise Estonia (EAS).
Patrick van der Pijl (Netherlands) heads the international strategy consulting firm Business Models Inc and is one of the forces behind Business Model Generation, a book that has sold over a million copies. Van der Pijl advises top executives and corporations, such as Toyota, Fujitsu, ING Bank, Microsoft, 3M and many others, whom he has assisted in business model innovation and future strategy development.
Alar Salum (Estonia) is Managing Director of Wolf Group, which consolidates the sales and production divisions of Krimelte, an international construction chemicals company.Products distributed by Wolf Group include the brands Penosil, Olivé and Tempsi; however, the company’s products are also distributed under several brands known the world over. Wolf Group’s production facilities are located in Estonia, Spain, Russia and Brazil.
Christian Wolf (Germany) founded in 2008 asgoodasnew electronics GmbH, a company that sells used electronics and is the market leader in its sector in Germany. The company sells equipment that has undergone tests and is in excellent condition technically. Currently, asgoodasnew employs over 120 people and has customers all across Europe. The company also manages the brand wirkaufens.de, which buys little used electronics and has hundreds of thousands of customers all across Europe.
Also invited to SEB’s iLab 2015 event are representatives of Estonian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who are interested in expanding to new markets and growing their turnovers through innovation. Registrations for the event number 350 attendees. The seminar will feature several innovation experts from Estonia and abroad. iLab 2015 will also be held in Latvia and Lithuania, for a total of 900 attendees in the three Baltic States.
In addition to presentations, iLab 2015 will feature group tasks to identify together with the attendees answers to the questions of how to achieve a match between a product and its market, how to grow faster and how to implement a growth strategy.
