SEB warns about fake letters
According to SEB, several persons have today received letters, the sender of which seems to be SEB, and in which the client is informed in a poor language of a security message and asked to open a link, which allegedly directs the client to their inbox. When clicking on the link, a webpage, similar to that of SEB Internet Bank opens, however the URL of the webpage is not SEB’s.
SEB asks the persons, receiving similar e-mails today, to ignore the letters and urges not to open the attached link. These letters are not sent by SEB. All those persons, who have opened the attached link and thereafter tried to log into their Internet Bank should immediately contact SEB Customer Support on 665 5100.
The text of fake letters may be similar to notifications sent by SEB, however you can recognise a fake letter by the fact that the name of the account holder has not once been mentioned in the letter. Neither does the sender’s address belong to SEB.
SEB Internet Bank can be accessed in a secure way by typing www.seb.ee to your browser’s URL or via SEB mobile app.
For further questions please call the SEB Customer Support on 665 5100. In case of suspicions you can check your account balance and movements via SEB Internet Bank.
