SEB: women make up 35 per cent of people who lease cars
Statistics by SEB Liising show that in 2014, women made up 35 per cent of the people who leased cars, and that they sign lease contracts at an earlier age than before.
Women are becoming more active in taking out car leases and by now, their proportion makes up more than a third in the SEB Liising portfolio. Younger and younger women are signing contracts as the average age – 40.6 years – is almost equivalent to that of men (40.2 years),” Ainar Leppänen, Chairman of the Management Board of SEB Liising, said.
The most common name of the women who took out car leases last year was Katrin, followed by Piret and Tiina. Women’s most preferred car make was Toyota, closely followed by Škoda, and Volkswagen on the third place.
