SEB is holding a real estate fair in Estonia’s larger towns and cities
This Saturday, New Home Day will take place at the SEB branches in Tallinn, Tartu and Pärnu. This is the continuation of SEB’s annual tradition of bringing together sellers and buyers of real estate at a small-scale real estate fair.
Properties with an interesting layout and affordable utility costs find an owner so quickly these days that in order to partake in good offers, direct contact with property sellers is necessary. New Home Day is a great opportunity for buyers and sellers to meet. It also provides an excellent opportunity to receive advice on selecting the best loan solution as well as managing the risks related to the purchasing of real estate and taking a loan.
“Whereas after the downturn in the economy families were more cautious in planning purchases of new homes and were more likely to postpone making big financial decisions, the past two or three years have seen a noticeable increase in interest in the purchasing of new homes that better suit the needs of families. Compared to the so-called boom era of 2005 – 2007, new home buyers today are characterized by their much greater level of awareness. It is quite common for actual needs to be weighed and the different apartments or houses meeting those needs to be compared. More and more, clients are seeking maximum protection against the risks related to taking a loan. Roughly 78 per cent of new loans taken at SEB are covered with loan insurance, which provides a sense of security for the borrower and their family. “This insurance trend is becoming increasingly common”, said Eerika Vaikmäe-Koit, Head of the Retail Banking and Technology Area of SEB.
At the SEB headquarters in Tallinn, 15 renowned real estate sellers and developers are displaying their offers. SEB’s New Home Day is taking place on 18 April, from 11.00 to 15.00, at the Tornimäe branch in Tallinn, the Ülikooli branch in Tartu, and the Pärnu branch. As a family’s loan capacity often needs to be determined before selecting a new home, it will be possible to register for a meeting with advisers at the New Home Day.
SEB will be handing out a discount coupon to all visitors, which provides the opportunity to conclude a home loan contract without the contract fee and gives 10% off PZU home insurance, if the loan application is filed by 1 May, at the latest.
