Euromoney names SEB best bank in Estonia for the third year in a row

In 2015, Euromoney, the world’s leading business magazine, named SEB the best bank in Estonia. Euromoney ranks financial enterprises in 20 different categories, in more than 100 countries all over the world.

In particular, Euromoney praised SEB Estonia for their great dedication to SMEs. We also stood out among our competitors with the overall better quality of our assets and our rapid development.

“I am grateful that our efforts have been noticed and we have received such great praise for a third consecutive year. I am happy that our business model counselling targeted at SMEs, which is unique in Estonia, impressed the judges. What sets us apart from other banks is that we support the entrepreneur already from the level of an idea,” said Indrek Julge, SEB Management Board Member and Head of Corporate Banking.

Euromoney also named SEB as the best bank in Lithuania. In Sweden, SEB was awarded the title of the best investment bank in 2015.

Euromoney’s “Awards for Excellence”, having become the most important awards in the area of financial services, were given out this year for the 24th time. In the case of financial enterprises, the most important selection criteria are the volume of assets, capital, profit and deposits, and other indicators. Based on an analysis of this data, Euromoney will decide which companies offer the best services to their clients. This year, Citi was chosen as the world’s best bank. All of the winners have been mentioned in the July issue of Euromoney.

At one of the most prestigious events in the banking sector, the Awards Gala, held in London, on 9 July, Euromoney revealed the top ranked companies in the Awards for Excellence 2015 competition.
