The Banker selects once again SEB the best bank in Estonia
The global business and financial publication The Banker named SEB the best bank in Estonia in 2015. SEB was given recognition by The Banker as the best bank already for the sixth time.
“Being recognised by The Banker as the best bank is, on one hand, a great recognition of our staff but, on the other hand, also of our customers – it is thanks to our demanding customers and committed staff that we managed to get the price,” says Eerika Vaikmäe-Koit, Head of Retail Banking and Technology of SEB Pank.
The Banker highlighted as one of the strengths of SEB an innovative mobile app that called people to mark locations where they wish to pay by card. The data collected allows the bank to assess business opportunities provided by card payments and the availability of different payment options makes day-to-day life easier for consumers. Moreover, SEB’s consultation programme for small and medium enterprises was also highly appreciated.
“We have helped customers to manage potential risks in a timely manner – in order to conduct an assessment of and a consultation on the financial health of a company, we have created a financial consultancy model to offer advice when making decisions that will impact the performance of the company. We always aspire to provide world-class services and customer consultations,” noted Vaikmäe-Koit.
This year The Banker awarded financial institutions from 152 different countries. The best banks are annually determined by a survey among financial enterprises, based on which a final decision is made by a panel of peers. A variety of indicators of banks are compared, such as their economic results and growth indicators, also taking into account information on the strategic developments, technological developments, client-orientation and other aspects.
The Banker belongs to The Financial Times Group and has been published since 1926. It is one of the most influential channels of information for the financial sector with a readership in more than 180 countries.
