Baltic Business Summit 2016: Spotlight on digital revolution
The fourth edition of SEB’s landmark event, the annual Baltic Business Summit 2016 will be held in Tallinn on April 14, with the focus on digital revolution and its impact on the business.
In addition to SEB’s top executives, one-day conference attracts to the Estonian capital a number of prominent business leaders speaking to about 150 major corporate clients of SEB in the Baltics. The speakers share their views about the changing global economy and learn how the digital industrial revolution impacts risks and opportunities on the economy, business and society at large.
“Companies who are currently industry leaders are facing unique challenges. If they want to remain frontrunners, they have to be trendsetters in their field, need to shape markets for their products, navigate through a vast number of different obstacles and show ability to launch products and services that are one step ahead of the market. As the leading corporate bank in Nordics and Baltics we are glad to offer clients our 160 years of experience in managing the changing business environment. This year in Tallinn we will pay special attention to the digital industrial revolution, which is now having a profound impact on all business areas, to help our clients stay ahead of the curve”, said Riho Unt, Head of Baltic Division at SEB.
After the introduction by Riho Unt, the event’s keynote intervention will come from Annika Falkengren, SEB Group CEO. Robert Bergqvist, Chief Economist at SEB, will deliver a macroeconomic view from the global and Baltic perspective and Dainis Bērziņš, Chairman of the Management Board, UPB Holding, will speak about Baltic growth story.
Geopolitical challenges in the modern World will be the topic of Sven Sakkov, who is Director of NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence and Hans Ristner, Senior Vice President, Volvo Group Strategy, will focus on the digitization impact and opportunity for an Automotive OEM.
A discussion panel about new industrial revolution is led by the event’s moderator Sir Roger Gifford, UK Country Head of SEB, and will feature Kęstutis Šliužas, CEO, Teo and Omnitel, Eric Michael Trusiewicz, Member of the Management Board, Cemex, Hando Sutter, CEO, Estonian Energy, and Hans Ristner. Before Anders Larsson, Head of Baltic Corporate Banking at SEB, wraps up the event, Thimon de Jong, Director at Whetston Strategic Foresight, will share tips how to future-proof your business strategy.
“When looked from the perspective of participants and speakers, the Baltic Business Summit is truly a proper economic conference. Previous conferences have proven that the format and circle of participants is of interest to the clients and stimulating speakers add more to its value.
The conference aims at offering a large picture but also more specific findings on how digital world impacts business”, said Eerika Vaikmäe Koit, Head of Corporates and Institutions Area.
Baltic Business Summit 2016 will be held at the Tallinn Creative Hub, a new and inspirational venue in Tallinn. In addition to the speakers, about 50 SEB’s client advisers will join the event on invitation-only basis.
