SEB’s volunteers to visit schools as guest teachers
This autumn, SEB’s employees will once again be volunteering at schools in order to educate students in the final year of basic school and those in upper secondary schools on money wisdom. The event will address the basics of personal finances and the planning of income and costs.
“The ability to effectively organise one’s finances is important when it comes to preparing for life as an adult and SEB wishes to make its own contribution in order to raise the level of awareness of Estonia’s youth when it comes to being prudent with money. This is why more than 80 volunteers from among the employees of SEB will also be visiting schools this autumn to educate students on the basics of financial literacy, using examples and exercises drawn from real life,” explained Allan Parik, Chairman of the Management Board of SEB.
The money wisdom classes are being held for the second year in a row, from October until the end of the year, at Estonian- and Russian-speaking schools across Estonia. During the classes, the basics of managing ones finance will be covered and a monthly budget will be prepared together. During the lectures, no banking services will be advertised.
