SEB offers updated Start-Up Loan to Start-ups
The Start-Up Loan is suitable for start-ups and companies that have been operating for up to three years, for financing investments and working capital. SEB offers the Start-Up Loan in cooperation with KredEx.
The maximum loan amount is EUR 100,000 (previously EUR 64,000) and the minimum loan amount is EUR 3000, with a term of up to five years.
“According to surveys, one of the biggest problems when starting a business is finding start-up capital. A standard bank loan to provide start-up cash for starting a business is unsuitable, since from the position of the lender the risks associated with starting up a company are too high,” said Edward Rebane, Head of the Small and Medium Enterprise Segment at SEB.
The SEB Start-Up Loan helps undertakings to bring their services and products to market. The Start-Up Loan has also helped businesses that have been hindered by a lack of capital when starting up or which lack sufficient collateral and operating history.
As opposed to a standard bank loan, in the case of the Start-Up Loan fewer securities are demanded from the undertaking, with the personal security being provided by the natural person or owner who is the recipient of the loan. When using the loan for its intended purpose the liability of the surety is now up to 25% of the loan amount.
