SEB set to debut updated mobile app
Over the next few days, SEB will automatically be updating its mobile app, which will become much simpler and allow for the use of a number of innovative services.
“When planning the new app and its basic functions, we were guided in particular by what our clients today are mainly using the mobile app to do. Practice shows that the app is not being used to complete income tax declarations or to apply for home loans; instead, it is being used to quickly make payments and keep up to date on one’s account balance and money matters. At the same time, life moves quickly, and we are definitely planning to further develop our new app, listening to the experience of users and needs of our customers,” said Ainar Leppänen, Head of Retail Banking and Technology for SEB.
The app’s design is focused primarily on simplicity and ease of use. SEB’s new mobile app has raised the most commonly used services to the forefront, while the fully functional Internet Bank also remains at the disposal of clients.
In addition to traditional services, the new app allows one to:
- Make transfers to other mobile app users without having to enter an account number;
- Request a transfer from other mobile app users, which can be paid by the payer with the press of a single button;
- Quickly view all of one’s account balances, simply by entering the required four-digit password;
- Conveniently perform transfers between one’s accounts.
In addition, it is possible for a user to log-in to the updated app by using the new method of authentication – the Smart-ID.
SEB’s new mobile app follows all personal data processing principles and ensures that data processing meets data protection requirements.
