SEB: new app makes insuring one’s life easier
The life insurance survey of SEB Elu- ja Pensionikindlustus reveals that Estonian people value family, close friends, children and health most in their life. However, the insurance statistics tell you otherwise: nearly 60% of the population have home insurance, less than half of it, i.e., nearly 30% of population have life insurance. According to bank data, more than half on Estonian population is bound with financial obligations (including leasing).
“A large proportion of Estonian families has financial obligations, however they lack financial reserves to maintain the economic viability of their family in case of an accident. We need to increase the awareness of the importance of life insurance and make it easier to conclude the contract,” Triin Messimas, the head of sales and marketing at Elu- ja Pensionikindlustus said.
The new SEB life insurance web app provides a person with a recommended insurance cover, sum insured and calculates the monthly premium – this way the client understands what kind of cover they need and what is the expenditure they should consider with.
“The app works on a principle where the system calculates the suitable insurance solution based on the data provided by the client. The app uses three most popular life insurance and accident insurance covers: life insurance cover, disability insurance cover and daily allowance insurance cover in case of accident. This makes the topic of insurance, complicated at first sight, simpler for the client,” Messimas adds.
