Global Finance named the digital solutions of SEB - the best in Central & Eastern Europe
At the end of the year 2017 at its Digital Bank Conference and Awards Ceremony in London, Global Finance presented the World’s Best Digital Bank Awards. SEB Banka was recognized as the Best Corporate / Institutional Digital Bank in Central & Eastern Europe Region.
Winners were selected based on strength of strategy for attracting and servicing online customers, success in getting clients to use digital offerings, growth of online customer base, breadth of products offered, evidence of tangible benefits gained from digital initiatives, and web site design and functionality.

“To guarantee sustainable business development, we aim to improve our business environment and guide our clients to use new digital services. This year we have implemented a row of new remote products and services in Baltic countries, such as the updated mobile-app, remote advisory, Smart-ID, digital coin jar and we gave a kick-start to Open banking project. In Latvia in the beginning of the year, new internet bank was launched, providing new options and possibilities for customers. Our clients have picked up these services, which clearly show that digital services continue their strong growth trend - a number of activities are still being planned.”
Global Finance’s World’s Best Digital Bank Awards are based on submissions from banks that wish to be considered. This year, nearly 300 individual banks from around the world entered the competition.
Representatives from Infosys, a global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing solutions, comprised the Awards judging panel. Based on the judge’s evaluations, Global Finance’s editors made the final selections.
