The changing car market made SEB come up with a new loan product
Starting from March, SEB will offer a car loan opportunity, which aims to provide financing for cars which do not categorise under the classical leasing service. The car loan size is up to 15,000 euros and according to a client base survey of SEB, a third of consumer loan users are already interested in it.
Rein Karofeld, Member of the Management Board of AS SEB Liising: ‘Over the past few years, we can clearly see that as the population’s incomes increase, Estonians are starting to afford larger and more expensive cars. At the same time, as the overall consumption grows, new buyers enter the car market, for whom leasing is not always the best solution. These include the young, the elderly, and those buying a car for a hobby – they do not necessarily have to buy a brand new or expensive car. The car loan is meant for people who are interested in used, slightly older cars or hobby vehicles that their family will not use every day.’
People with a regular income can apply for the new loan, which ranges from 1,000 to 15,000 euros. The car loan does not require self-financing, optional motor vehicle insurance, or a car valuation certificate, and the car belongs to the buyer from the moment of purchase. You can apply for a car loan with a co-applicant.
