As of 25 May 2018, the General Terms and Conditions of AS SEB Elu- ja Pensionikindlustus will change
AS SEB Elu- ja Pensionikindlustus will change its General Terms and Conditions. The amended General Terms and Conditions will become effective on 25 May 2018 and shall apply to all valid insurance agreements.
The most important changes in the General Terms and Conditions:
1. We removed the principles of processing personal data from the General Terms and Conditions and created a separate document titled ‘Procedure for processing client data at the companies of SEB Eesti’ (clauses 52-54). The principles of processing personal data have been changed due to the General Data Protection Regulation taking effect on 25 May 2018.
The principles of processing client data have been relocated to a separate document: Procedure for processing client data at the companies of SEB Eesti.
2. We have more accurately specified the occasions when the insurer has the right to change the insurance terms and conditions unilaterally. In addition, we have changed the procedure for notifying of amendments to the terms and conditions. Hereafter, policyholders will be notified of changes to the terms and conditions if the changes add more responsibilities for the policyholder (clauses 8–10).
3. Specified occasions when the insurer has the right to refuse to pay the policyholder. These are exceptional cases where Elukindlustus does not know or have the contact details of a policyholder (clause 86).
You can be acquainted with the amended General Terms and Conditions on the SEB website and at every SEB branch in Estonia.
If you do not agree with the amendments in the terms and conditions, you have the right to terminate your agreement by notifying SEB Elu- ja Pensionikindlustus thereof on 24 May 2018 at the latest. If the client does not notify us of their wish to terminate the agreement, we consider that agreeing with the new amendments, in which case the new terms and conditions shall apply to the current agreement(s) from 25 May 2018.
