SEB was recognised with a gold badge at the Responsible Business Awards Gala.
The Responsible Business Awards Gala, which took place in the winter garden of the Estonian National Opera, recognised Estonian businesses with gold, silver and bronze badges. SEB had the honour of being awarded with a gold badge for the first time.
“SEB has participated in the sustainability index for nearly ten years and our activities on the Estonian market have previously been awarded with a silver badge. This year, for the first time, we have the great honour and pleasure of accepting the gold badge. This high award is a recognition of our efforts to contribute to society even more actively. During the presentation of the award, our SEB Innovation Centre was recognised as a separate achievement. The centre opened a year ago and it has helped us to take the role of an active leader in the development and support of Estonian economic life. SEB contributes to the sustainable and broad-based development of the economic environment in cooperation with businesses," said Allan Parik, Chairman of the Management Board of SEB.
Sustainability and responsible business are an integral part of the bank’s business strategy, and this concerns all aspects of business activities – how to manage innovation, move investments and develop new business opportunities. The latest survey of responsible business, carried out amongst SEB corporate clients, reveals that enterprises consider the most important aspect to be a greater contribution to their employees. There is also more emphasis on diversity.
