SEB will allow clients to view their PIN codes in the Internet Bank
As of May 10, SEB clients can view the PIN code of their debit card in the Internet Bank for private individuals. Access is available for a limited number of times during the card’s validity, and only in the Internet Bank, but not in Mobile Bank.
PIN codes can only be changed in the ATM machines of SEB, like before, but from now on, the codes will be visible for clients in the Internet Bank of SEB, as well. Clients whose cards were issued before 18 April can access the PIN code twice; clients whose cards were issued after 18 April can view their PIN codes four times. The count will not be restarted if the client decides to change the PIN code: the number of accesses depends on the card, not the code.
The PIN code is available for access only in the Internet Bank for private individuals under the ‘My cards’ section and for the owner of the card. PIN codes can be requested for the debit and credit cards of a private person, and credit cards of a legal person. If the owner of the card is not the same person as the holder of the account, then the button for requesting the PIN code will not be displayed on the account.
PIN codes can be viewed in two ways: if the card was sent by mail, by activating the card in the Internet Bank or, if the card has already been activated, under the ‘My cards’ section of the account. The system always displays the PIN code that is valid at the time of the request.
After making a request for the PIN code, the system will display card information and the number of times that the PIN code will be available for viewing. The user must insert the PIN2 code to get access to the PIN code, which will be displayed along with a clock that counts down 90 seconds; when the time is up, the client will be redirected to the ‘My cards’ page. When the client uses their last available view, they will receive a notice on the display stating that this is the last time the PIN code will be displayed for the card.
