Login page of the SEB Internet Bank has changed
Now client who wants to log in into Internet Bank first has to define his/her business or private status and then client will be forwarded to the login page. Customers who use Smart-ID or Mobile-ID to log in to the Internet Bank must also now enter their personal identification code. The change was implemented in all three Baltic States at the same time and aims to increase the safety of logging in.
Tammo Otsasoo, Head of e-channels in SEB Baltic: ‘Identification of client’s status and adding a personal identification code into login process are simple steps, which allow us to avoid login mistakes, born of carelessness and offers additional protection against phishing attacks.’
SEB reminds its customers that when they are entering the PIN1 and PIN2 via Smart-ID and Mobile-ID, they must make sure that they confirm their own requests. Additionally, the bank asks its customers to exercise utmost caution with queries that include direct links arriving via text message and e-mail, especially during the busy period of submitting income tax returns and refunding.
