SEB is organising a joint boot camp for enterprises and students in Tartu
SEB is organising a joint boot camp in Tartu for university students and thirteen small and medium-sized enterprises. The goal of the intensive day is to provide enterprises and companies with the opportunity to find new growth possibilities together that advance the enterprises in the competition.
The boot camp is a half-day of intensive training, the goal of which is to detect an enterprise’s untapped potential under the guidance of Alar Kolk, president of the European Innovation Academy, which in the future will help to sustainably grow the enterprise and thus stay competitive in the ever-changing market. The point and goal of involving students is to introduce them to enterprises in whose development the youth would like to contribute to in the future.
“The SEB Growth Programme starts its seventh flight in March, this time in Tartu. So far, the enterprises who have participated in the growth programme are doing great - in a few years, they have leapt forward with regard to innovation and digitalisation, and 2/3 of the enterprises have found new business directions or a new approach. The experience of these years has indicated that enterprises with a well-defined understanding of what kind of problem or business opportunity is going to be solved in the growth programme, are more successful than those who do not yet know which problem to solve. These enterprises who have too many different ideas to choose their priorities from, are also having a harder time ” said Anette Ustal, Head of the SEB Growth Programme.
28 enterprises applied for the seventh SEB Growth Programme and 10 shall be selected. This time, many products with a well-known trademark are joining the Growth Programme, such as Huum heaters, Aegaon watches, and BredenKids children’s clothes. This time, there is almost an equal number of production and service enterprises. Smart product development is popular, giving the customer more flexibility and also allowing the enterprise to be more sustainable and resource-efficient. Moreover, the enterprises also aim to increase their sales numbers by expanding to foreign markets and with the support of the programme they want to find support for defining a scalable growth model and increasing the enterprise’s general competitiveness.
