You can now also apply for a grace period for a credit card at SEB
From 12 May, you can also apply for a grace period for the repayment of the principal of your credit card at SEB. The application can be filled in conveniently in the Internet Bank and the maximum period of credit card grace period is six months. During the grace period, the client only has to make the interest payments. The new option is open to holders of credit cards with fixed payment, who account for approximately 80% of all private credit card holders.
Evelin Tammearu, Sales Manager of SEB’s private client segment: ‘In difficult times, meeting relatively small financial obligations can prove to be temporarily difficult. To provide even more support to our clients in difficult financial times, we now offer the opportunity to apply for a grace period for repayments for credit cards with fixed payment.’
A credit card with fixed payment is a so-called instalment-type card that allows the cardholder to flexibly manage their cash flow. The cardholder can use the card within the free credit limit and gradually repay the used amount within the agreed period. The cardholder can also return the used amount in the Internet Bank at any time before the payment date in part or in full, thus reducing the interest payable on the used amount.
Clients who have a credit card with predetermined repayment can continue to apply for refinancing of the used card limit during the difficult financial times.
Additional information about the credit cards with fixed payment can be found on the website of SEB.
