SEB to fully transfer from the VISA card brand to the Mastercard brand

SEB has gradually switched to the Mastercard brand since the spring of 2014. This means that we will close all previously issued VISA bank cards at the end of June.

By 30 June 2021, we will replace all the VISA bank cards with the Mastercard bank cards with a wider range of choices, and we will also close all issued VISA bank cards.

For clients, we will automatically order the new Mastercard bank card(s) and send them to the postal addresses to be provided by the clients within May. The cards with the VISA brand to be closed by the bank will be replaced with equivalent Mastercard bank cards. For example, if the client has a VISA Gold Card, it will be replaced with a Mastercard Gold Card, and if there is a VISA Classic, it will be replaced with a Mastercard Debit.

• The new Mastercard bank card will have the same limits as your current VISA card.
• As an additional option, you can make contactless payments with the new Mastercard, and with an Android smartphone, you can digitise your bank card, allowing you to make mobile contactless payments.
• The Mastercard bank card will have the same PIN as your current VISA card.
