SEB Pank awarded Gold Label of Responsible Business Index
The Responsible Business Forum Estonia presented SEB Pank with a Gold Label, for following the principle of sustainability in energy consumption, client service, and working environment design.
‘SEB has made great efforts together with its clients to be a responsible company and we will continue to do so in the future. Henceforth, we want to further value a responsible approach in the daily operations of the bank, thus contributing to a cleaner environment and a more balanced society,’ said Allan Parik, Chairman of the Management Board at SEB.
The ATMs and branches of SEB that have received the Gold Label are powered by green energy, with paperless service in the branches and video meetings with clients taking place in order to save time, money, and the environment at the expense of visiting the branch.
SEB advises business clients on their path towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly business operations, and supports diversity and equal treatment in the working environment and in society at large. In addition, SEB supports communities through various collaborations, donations, and mentoring.
A recent survey of Estonian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) carried out by SEB indicated that SMEs consider economical and sustainable management to be an important part of their business activities and that SMEs value environmental protection more than before. The result also expresses the broader view of Estonian enterprises on the issues of responsibility.
The Responsible Business Forum Estonia recognises enterprises, organisations, and non-profit organisations operating in Estonia with the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Label. SEB was awarded the Gold Label for the first time in 2016.
