Frequently asked questions
Selecting a new plan
The selection of new plans is wider, meaning that companies in different stages of growth can find a suitable solution more easily. We are also updating the volume of services included in the plans, taking into account the needs and preferences of our business customers’ everyday banking. For example, the five new plans offer a different number of transfers and debit cards. The monthly fees of the new business customer plans range from 1 euro (Basic Plan) to 65 euros (Premium+ Plan).
Wishing to support the development of your business, we offer small businesses a range of everyday banking products and services at particularly affordable prices. In addition, the bank is going to transition gradually to greener bank cards with the new plans.
At the end of the second quarter of this year, the current SEB plans (S, M, L, XL) will no longer apply due to launching the new plans, so customers should select the most suitable plan for them from the new plans this spring.
SEB will inform plan holders of the possibility to select a new plan individually. This means that all current plan holders will receive information about the new plans and a recommendation for a plan from the bank based on the services that the customers have been using. If a customer does not like the plan that the bank suggests, they can always pick another, more suitable plan.
Customers can choose new plans from 16 April. SEB will inform plan holders of the possibility to select a new plan individually.
Starting from 16 April, the head of the company or an authorised person can select a new plan in the Internet Bank or at a branch office of the bank.
New plans will be available for customers from 16 April and the current plans will be valid until the end of the second quarter of this year.
This means that customers who want to start using the new plans immediately can choose a new plan and sign an agreement on 16 April or use the current plan until the end of the second quarter of this year.
An initial introduction of the new plans can be found on our website and further information will be published in April; around that time, we will also add a calculator to our website that helps customers select a plan that is the best fit for them.
The current plans remain valid until the end of the second quarter of this year, so customers have time.
SEB will inform business plan holders (S, M, L, XL) of the possibility to select a new plan individually. This means that all current plan holders will receive information about the new plans and a recommendation for a plan from the bank based on the services that the customers have been using. If a customer does not like the plan that the bank suggests, they can always pick another, more suitable plan.
If a customer does not make a choice by 30 June at the latest, the plan which the bank considers the most suitable for them will be applied to them from the beginning of July. If a customer has previously made settlements without a plan, then a new plan will not be selected for them and they can continue using daily banking services based on the business customer price list.
For active customers, the cheapest option is to select a suitable plan for daily banking operations, and therefore, we recommend that they conclude an agreement for a new plan as soon as possible.
Choosing a plan is recommended because it helps to save on service fees. If you have not found a suitable plan from the plans offered by SEB so far, you now have an opportunity to make another choice.
You can use daily banking services without selecting a plan based on the business customer price list.
SEB’s business customer plans are not available for non-resident legal persons, credit institutions, providers of financial services, insurers, mediators of financial and/or insurance services, or providers of other similar services.
All legal persons whose registered seat is outside Estonia are considered non-resident customers.
Payments
For an SEB plan holder, between 5 and 350 payments per month are free depending on the plan, and after that, most plans (except for the Basic Plan) automatically allow payments at a lower fee than stipulated in the regular price list. Once the number of payments at a discounted fee offered by a plan is exceeded, the fees of the regular price list will apply to payments.
Statistical data regarding the payments you have made and other banking services can be monitored in the Internet Bank and the mobile application.
Free payments include payments made through electronic channels: internal payments, European payments (including instant payments), standing payment orders, standing payment orders of e-invoices, and payments based on transfer orders for debiting in a consolidated amount.
For a holder of an SEB plan, between 5 and 350 payments per month are free depending on the plan; in addition, Standard, Standard+, Premium, and Premium+ plans automatically offer a set number of payments for a discounted fee, to which a respective discount percentage indicated in each plan is applied.
For example, a customer who holds the Standard Plan can make 15 free payments and the next 15 payments at 8% off the price list. In this example, a customer can make 15 payments for 0.23 euros per payment. Starting from the 16th payment, the prices in the price list will apply. A customer who has selected the Premium+ Plan can make payments at 28% off the price list, or for 0.18 euros per payment, after having made 350 payments free of charge.
Once you have made all the payments included in the plan as well as the discounted payments, the prices in the regular price list will apply to all subsequent payments.
Bank cards
SEB bank cards issued from 16 April will receive a new design. In order to reduce the environmental impact of plastic cards, the bank is gradually switching to more environmentally friendly cards made from 84% bioplastics, i.e. leftover feed corn. All bank cards will be redesigned and all debit cards will have a special indentation, i.e. a ‘dent’, that can be felt by hand. This will help people who are visually impaired to differentiate more easily between debit and credit cards, making it more convenient to use the card that is distinguishable by touch – for example, when paying in shops or withdrawing money from an ATM.
Business customer plans (except for the Basic Plan) offer Mastercard Business debit cards without a monthly maintenance fee.
