When calling the SEB Customer Support one can use a new identification service
Starting from 6 September, a person calling the SEB Customer Support can identify themselves with a Mobile ID or PIN calculator. Identification by phone enables to offer faster and better solutions to the clients.
So far phone identification was available only to those clients, who had previously signed a respective agreement. Starting from 6 September, SEB offers this option to all of its customers. Identification is possible in the Estonian, Russian and English languages. For the identification, a client needs a mobile phone with activated Mobile ID service or a PIN calculator. The banking system verifies the client data and based on the results, asks the client to enter their personal identification code. Thereafter the client shall enter either a PIN of Mobile ID or a PIN calculator. Upon request, the client may also choose not to identify themselves.
“We can provide the answers to more general questions also without identifying the client. If, however, the client requests information for example on their agreements or account movements, then this assumes identification of the client,” Ringa Maripuu, head of SEB Contact Centre said.
Further information about personal identification with Mobile ID and PIN calculator can be obtained by calling the SEB Customer Support on 665 5100.
