SEB is updating its price list and simplifying the terms and conditions
Starting from 1 December SEB’s new price list will be applied, where the most important changes are related to over-the-counter cash transactions and service fees of bankcards. The fees for the most frequently used products and services, such as transactions via the Internet and Mobile Bank and fees related to the issuing and use of regular bankcards will remain the same.
“Payments and withdrawals of cash at branches are markedly more costly than payments made electronically, as they involve labour costs for the handling of cash, which will be reflected in the new price list. Also the fees of issuing similar types of bankcards will be brought to the same level,” commented Ainar Leppänen, Head of SEB Retail Banking and Technology Area.
“We based the pricing on the fact that clients prefer to use everyday banking services via different remote channels and are increasingly paying by card instead of cash. Taking into account the habits of clients, the fees for the most frequently used products and services, in other words transactions via the Internet and Mobile Bank and fees related to the issuing and use of regular bankcards will remain the same. Using a suitable bank account plan to perform everyday banking transactions is the most cost-effective solution for an active client, as it includes all of the important banking services and the fixed monthly rate gives a clear overview of the costs,” added Leppänen.
In addition to the new price list, as of 1 December changes will be made in the general and settlement terms and conditions as well as the terms and conditions of a current account, debit card, credit card and credit card with fixed payment. The wording of all the documents has been simplified and the layout updated, so that they would be easy to read on either a computer screen or a portable device.
Information on the price list changes and on the new terms and conditions will be available from 29 September at all SEB branches and on the website at www.seb.ee/eng/changes_from_01122016
