Restrictions on persons from Russia and Belarus
Due to the restrictions and risks arising from sanctions that have been established against persons from the Russian Federation and Belarus, private customers who are the citizens of Russia or Belarus or live in Russia or Belarus and who, to the bank’s knowledge, are not the citizens of or have a residence permit of the European Union as well as business clients that have been established in the Russian Federation or Belarus can no longer receive services related to the issuing of securities and cannot conduct transactions in securities at SEB Pank starting from 12 April 2022; i.e. such persons cannot acquire securities (regardless of the time of issue) in any manner, incl. they cannot purchase, subscribe to, or exchange securities, transfer them to an account at SEB, or acquire them in any other manner (incl. for a payment or through a transaction without payment, incl. a voluntary corporate event). The aforementioned persons can conduct transactions for the reduction and liquidation of positions on an account that has been opened at SEB Pank in instances that are permissible when considering the international financial sanctions and feasible when considering the terms and conditions of the service.
Restrictions on the Russian and Belarusian securities
Due to the risks arising from the sanctions against Russia and Belarus, clients can no longer receive services related to the securities issued in Russia or Belarus or securities issued outside of Russia or Belarus that are connected to Russia or Belarus or their entities, authorities, or legal persons, or conduct transactions with such securities at SEB Pank starting from 8 March 2022; this includes restrictions on the acquisition of such securities, incl. purchasing, marking or exchanging securities, transferring them to an account at SEB, or trading in securities in any other manner. It is possible to conduct transactions for the reduction and liquidation of positions on an account that has been opened at SEB Pank in instances that are permissible when considering the international financial sanctions and feasible when considering the terms and conditions of the service.
When discussing securities, any stocks, bonds, fund shares, money-market instruments, subscription rights, and other such rights are included.
