How can I add my card to Garmin Pay?

  • Use Garmin Connect app to add your card to Garmin Pay wallet. Your Garmin smartwatch must be paired with the phone.
  • Go to “Garmin Pay” menu and follow instructions to add your card.
  • Read and agree to the Digital wallet terms and conditions.
  • Confirm adding your card to Garmin Pay wallet by verifying your identity using the available authentication method.
  • When the card is successfully added to the Garmin Pay wallet, you will see a confirmation on screen and receive an SMS from SEB.

How to pay with Garmin smartwatch?

  1. Press and hold down the action button on your watch or swipe the screen to open wallet on your watch.
  2. Enter your digital wallet passcode. It will be requested every time you put the watch on your wrist or every 24 hours.
  3. Use your default card to pay or select another card in your wallet by swiping the screen. The card you used last time will appear as the default one. 
  4. Hold the watch near the payment terminal to make the payment.
  1. Settings and payment limits of your ordinary card are also applied to the card’s digital version in Garmin Pay. The only exception is that there is no contactless payment limit set for your card’s digital version in the Garmin Pay.
  2. No extra charges are applied for Garmin Pay transactions.
  3. Use Garmin Pay wherever Mastercard payment cards and contactless payments are supported.

You can check devices supporting Garmin Pay on Garmin website.

  • You can manage the digital versions of your cards using Garmin Connect app menu “Garmin Pay”.
  • To identify the digital version of the card, view its last four digits – they are the same as for your ordinary card.
  • To view more information about the card, tap on it. A menu will open where you can view information about the digital version of your card, including the last four digits of the digital card number (Device Account Number) that will be indicated on the payment receipts. Here you can also review transaction history and change digital card status.
  • If you have added multiple cards to your smartwatch, then Garmin Pay will set the card you used for the last payment as a default one. Garmin smartwatches also allow you to select another card before each payment by swiping the screen of the smartwatch.
  • You can update the status of digital cards using the smartwatch app on your smartphone. Digital cards can be suspended, unsuspended and removed.
  • You can view the recent transaction history. Please note that it will include only transactions associated with your smartwatch, full card transaction history is available in the internet bank.

You can add up to 10 cards to Garmin Pay wallet.

Device passcode is required to activate wallet on the smartwatch. Passcode is valid for 24 hours. If you take off the watch, then passcode will be requested after putting it back on your wrist.

Payments with Garmin smartwatches are completely secure as there are various features in place to ensure the safety of your funds:

  • Creating the digital version of your card always requires cardholder verification.
  • Your card data is not stored on your device or on wallet provider’s servers, and neither it is provided to merchants during the payment process. Instead, unique digital card number is created for your card and associated with your smartwatch.
  • You will be prompted to enter device passcode every time you put watch on your wrist or every 24 hours.

You can remove the card’s digital version from Garmin Pay wallet using Garmin Connect app. Please note that after 3 incorrect passcode attempts wallet on device will be locked. To reset the passcode you need to use Garmin Connect app.

Block your physical card in the internet bank or mobile app – doing so will automatically block the card’s digital version in the smartwatch as well. You can also block the cards by calling our Customer centre.
